Syrian Government Cuts off Internet and Mobile Communications29th November 2012
Syria has today had its 84 Internet connection protocols rendered “unreachable” according to Internet monitoring firm Renesys.
Local sources suggest that since earlier this afternoon the Internet has been down, and telephone lines only working intermittently.
This is not the first time that communications have been cut off in the country, usually during major operations by the government in the ongoing civil war.
It is not currently known when or if this service will be restored. This also means that our service to Syria will be severely disrupted or even non-existent at this time, something unfortunately beyond our control.
