The Best Ways To Save Money On Your Bills

As you all already know, our economy is in a bit of a bad way. We’re deep in a recession which means it’s important to watch what we spend whenever possible. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to miss out on doing things you love or sacrifice things you already own, as this little guide will soon tell you.

One of the best ways to save money is by shopping around. A lot of the time, companies or shops will offer the exact same thing, of the exact same quality but cheaper. Just because it’s a well known brand or shop, doesn’t necessarily mean the quality of their products is any better. For example, Planet Numbers aren’t as big a company as BT. We both offer international calls of perfect quality but the difference is the price. Whereas BT may charge 76p/minute to call Thailand, Planet Numbers will charge just 1p/minute. That’s 76 times cheaper.

Another way of cutting your expenses is by ensuring you’re on the right tariff or contract with your phone provider. When taking out a contract, before signing, do a quick estimation of how many minutes you are likely to use in a month. If the contract is £35/month for 600 minutes and you’re only likely to use 200 minutes, consider opting for a cheaper tariff. One service provider now offers 200 minutes and unlimited texts for £10 a month.

Also, most service providers offer huge discount if you opt to take out all of your services with them. By this I mean landline, internet, mobile and television. Do some real research before opting to go with a specific service provider, as there are some great deals to be had!
