The Risky Attitude of UK Consumers to Private Data on Mobiles

9th April 2013

This interesting infographic is a useful graphic representation of the risks UK consumers are taking with the sensitive data they are storing on their mobile devices.  63% of UK consumers admit to storing this sort of data in some form.

It comes at a time when new research has shown out of 130,000 free apps available on the Android platform (the UK’s most popular platform), 12.87% of them are grabbing your phone number and broadcasting it without providing explicit notification.

12% also upload your location, 8% your email address, 7% read your contacts and 6% your browsing history.

Just how careful are you with your private data?
